Preparation Steps Before Replacing The Scroll Saw Blade
Step 1: Turn Off the Machine

Step 2: Remove the Blade Holder
Locate the blade holder and identify the screw that holds the blade in place. With a suitable wrench, remove the screw from the scroll saw, temporarily setting it aside until needed.
Step 3: Remove the Blade
With the screw and blade holder removed, slide the blade out from the bottom of the holder. Handle the blade carefully to avoid any injury or accidents.
Steps To Install The New Scroll Saw Blade
Step 1: Check the Blade’s Direction
Before installing the new scroll saw blade, ensure that you’re following the manufacturer’s instructions for correct installation, and take note of any arrows on the blade itself indicating which direction the teeth should be facing.
Step 2: Slip the Blade into the Blade Holder
Holding the new blade at a 90-degree angle to the scroll saw, insert the blade into the holder’s bottom until it is fully seated.
Step 3: Tighten the Blade Screw
Once the blade is in place, use the wrench to tighten the screw in the blade holder to secure it in place.
Step 4: Double Check the Blade Tension
Before using the scroll saw, check that the blade is properly tensioned. The manufacturer’s instructions will indicate the right tension to use, but the blade should not be too tight or too loose.
